I've been printing with my Mod-T for a couple months now. So far when it decides to print, it's fantastic. When it decides to stop putting down filament it's frustrating. But, I can usually work through the problem printing with a redesign or better filament.
Other than the occasional frustrations with a bad print, the only minor complaint I have is the print queue. It's great that it shows percent completion, but it would be so much more useful if it would also display the start time and an estimated time to completion. I print things quite a bit and then get asked to go grab a bite to eat, or hang out with friends. Currently, I have to decide whether to leave and hope the print competes, hope the object doesn't separate from the plate or whether to hang out and just wait for it to complete. When I hang out and wait for it to complete, it would be nice to be able to say, "Well, I'm in the middle of printing something, it should be done in XX minutes, can I meet you then." Like I said, it would just be nice to have more information as a gauge of its current progress.
We are glad to hear that you are having an overall good experience with your MOD-t printer. In regards to adding a print time estimator on our site, it is something we may add in the future. However, it can be challenging to get an accurate estimate which is why we want to make sure we put something in place that at the very least gets you a ball park estimate.
We do appreciate the suggestions from our users such as yourself and please know that this will be forwarded to our development team. As always, if we can be of any assistance feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
