Hello Marco,

This is Nick with New Matter support. I’m sorry to hear that you are having some trouble. There could be several possible causes for the issue you are experiencing, so I’d like to start by exploring the simplest possible solution.

Though it is rare, sometimes the MOD-t’s carriage (the metal box that the filament feeds into) can get stuck at the top of the Z-axis guide rods. If this happens, the MOD-t will tend to behave much the way you describe. A good way to tell if this is the issue is to take a look at the position of the carriage. If the carriage of your MOD-t is at the very TIPPY TOP of the Z-axis rods and you are unable to see any of the threading on the center Z-axis guide rod, it is likely stuck. If that appears to be the case with your MOD-t, you will want to start by powering off the MOD-t. Then, locate the white, toothed gear wheel on the back of the MOD-t’s carriage and manually rotate it clockwise (as you are facing the front of the MOD-t) until the carriage lowers about one to two inches down the Z-axis guide rods. Once that’s done you should go ahead and try printing again and see if that doesn’t solve the issue.

I hope that this simple solution will get you back up and running, Marco. If you find that the steps above do not resolve the issue, please feel free to contact our tech support team directly by emailing or calling (866) 949-8722 M-F 9am-6pm Pacific time.

Thank you!
