I have this issue where after a certain height/time printing, the printing carriage becomes misaligned from the pinion rods.
Can you help me make sure that this doesn't continue into the future?
I have a lot of prints that are going to take the amount of time that will trip up the bed of the printer if this continues.
I think that the issues have begun when I started using painters tape to cover my aged bed, could this be the cause?
Hi Ruben, thanks for letting us know. We are seeing an issue currently where prints utilizing the full axis in one or more directions are seeing a slight stutter when going to the four far corners along the pinion rods, causing print shifting, and a possible catch during the calibration. This is an unfortunate hardware issue we’ve been grappling with for quite some time. For that we apologize, as you should totally be able to use the full build envelope of 6″ × 4″ × 5″ with no issues.
The good news is that we’ve created an attachment, called MOD- Skis, that have helped many of our customers resolve their print-shifting issues. In order to get the Gcode to print the file and full instructions on installing it, please contact our support team via email at email@example.com, let them know you want the file for the MOD-Skis modification, and they’ll send it to you as soon as possible!
