I am getting a great deal of stringing in my prints. To the point of causing issues with detail at the end of prints. Any suggestions on how to fix?
Thank you for that question! Stringing is an issue that can have a few different sources. One possible cause is the type of filament being used. We always recommend our New Matter brand for great print quality, but if you are using a 3rd party brand be sure to check the reviews of other users. If that brand is a lower quality or is known for causing stringing, that could be the source of the issue and changing to different filament may solve the problem for you.
Another cause could be the print speed. For example, if you are working on a print with a smaller layer height aka higher resolution, you’ll want to use a lower print speed to prevent stringing (the MOD-t can print as slow as 80mm/second).
There are some other factors that could be involved, and we would want to get some more information about your print jobs. If you can email us at email@example.com we can give you some personal assistance to help prevent stringing in the future.
